Research and Design
Designers, decorators, and historians are able to work directly with our design and technical team, to create new designs, adapt existing artwork, or research our extensive archive for ideas.
Clients own designs can be reproduced or adapted in terms of scale, texture, and quality. Clients have the choice of loom repeat widths up to 130cms wide, enabling them to have the freedom of multiple scale custom fabric layouts.
Many projects require absolute historical accuracy and our reputation for being able to reproduce period fabrics is well established. The redrawing of the design, sometimes from a few remaining fragments or museum evidence, can result in the crowning glory of a project, where the textiles form the final finishes of a restoration. The company archive holds an extensive range of both design and colour references relating to the various periods in history, which can help when there is a lack of historic evidence.
