We can undertake to weave to order to suit your requirement manufacturing on established warp colours in silk and cotton and offering a wide range weft thread variations in silk, cotton. Linen and wool. We have built a collection of period designs from the 17th - 19th Centuries which can be woven to your choice for a minimum of 15 metres.

Many projects require absolute historical accuracy and our reputation for being able to reproduce ancient designs, textures and custom colours, has led us to being involved in many important projects. Colour weave trials woven by hand can establish the shades and textures needed before production. The redrawing of the design, sometimes from a few remaining fragments, or museum evidence can result in the crowning glory of a project, in which the textiles will form the final visual aspect of restoration. As council members of the Silk Association of Great Britain Ltd; we can provide information on our Education Service for anyone interested in the UK silk industry. Did you know there is more raw silk imported into Sudbury in Suffolk each year, than the whole of rest of the UK? Why this is so, and many other interesting details about the history of the weaving trade, can be heard in our lectures, which feature our fabrics to illustrate our company's involvement in major restoration projects.
