Eaton Hall

Eaton Hall, near Chester, Chesire.

The private hall sits in the 11,500 acre estate of The Duke of Westminster, although the hall remains private the formal gardens are open to the public.

Located near the Cheshire village of Eccleston within the Grosvenor Estate, the history of the Eaton Estate can be traced back to the 1440’s when it first became the home of the Grosvenor family. The Grosvenor’s early wealth was derived from¬†land ownership and royalties from the coal, stone and lead mines of North Wales. The Grosvenor Estate spans over numerous Cheshire villages and parts of the city centre of Chester.

As the hall is private there are very few recent images of the interiors.
