Plains

These plain fabrics encompass block colour effects and all over textured surfaces that offer customers a go too plain for their unique interior.  The historically accurate plain fabrics we create include Bombazine, Poplin, Lute, Tammy, Banner Cloth, Lustring, Satins and Sarsnet. These are used as both linings and feature cloths and examples can be seen below.

We can manufacture various proportions of ribs and repps and are one of the few companies in Britain that can offer glazing and moiré finishing techniques. Contemporary designers use this type of plain fabric to create textural surfaces in subtle shades, to work within larger decorative schemes. We also frequently see the use of plain lustring to compliment a large figured damask that is the main focus for the room. These can be seen in many of the nations most iconic buildings, ranging from National Trust properties to Royal Palaces.
