We do not have any UK or worldwide stockists or showrooms as we deal with all of our customers direct.

On stock yarn shades we can weave as little as 15 metres in length. We can accommodate custom lengths in special dye shades on a project by project basis.

We always respect client’s wishes with regards to confidentiality. We are proud of the work that we undertake and balance this with the need for discretion. We do not share any information that is not freely available in the public domain.

We carry extensive ranges of stock colours in an array of yarn choices; these are readily available for development and production. Working within our stock yarn range offers the client an economy in both lead time and overall costs. For more information about our stocked yarn service click here. 

For projects that come outside of our stock qualities we offer a custom colour matching and development service to British Standards. This includes laboratory samples and bulk dying at our onsite dye works. For more information click here. 

As each project is custom we calculate costs individually based on: the metreage you require, the type of yarn you are working in, whether the colour is from our stock range or custom dyed, the construction of the cloth and any finishing required.

We sell all of our fabric at trade price in order to be as competitive as possible in the market place.

We are proud to manufacture all of our own fabrics in the UK on the Essex/Suffolk boarder; we embrace both modern and traditional weaving techniques.

Although we do not offer sampling as a standalone service, we do undertake strike off sampling as a matter of course on each individual project. Humphries Weaving undertakes hand loom sampling on select projects.

Although we are not an accredited testing facility we do offer indicative laboratory tests of both our stock and custom colours. These are tested for light fastness, wet and dry rub and undergo perspiration tests (where applicable).

As we are a fabric manufacturer we do not make final products, all of our fabric is supplied by the roll.

We regret that due to stringent European regulations we are unable to weave fabric for use in baby products, such as blankets and wraps.

As each project we undertake is on an individual basis, we do not hold stocks of fabric. We hold stocks of yarn in our specially designed and climate controlled yarn store. We regret that we cannot hold or store clients individual yarn stocks, such as novelty yarns.

We do on occasion weave overruns of fabric if a colour or design is of particular historical importance, these can be offered for sale and inquiries are dealt with on an individual basis.

As every project is custom, there is very little, if any, wastage of fabric. Many of our designs are also protected by confidentiality agreements with our clients and therefore cannot be offered to a third party.

Lead times vary from project to project and we advise on an individual basis. Ordinarily custom dye projects will have longer lead times than stock dye projects.

We ship to the UK and Worldwide with our preferred carrier. All fabric shipments are packed securely and sent out with the relevant paperwork. All shipments are insured and tracked.

The Humphries Weaving Company only deals directly with our customers, we do not have distributors.

We are unable to offer financial sponsorships or yarn sponsorships to students.

Unfortunately due to the busy nature of production, we are unable to offer short run production or sampling for students.

Unfortunately, due to health and safety regulations and the busy nature of production, we are unable to offer tours or visits to the Mill, including for educational purposes.
