We are one of three esteemed companies weaving at the Historic Sudbury Silk Mills, designing and weaving bespoke fabrics for artists, interiors designers, architects, ecclesiastical projects, historic houses and many other iconic institutions.

We collaborate closely with our clients, starting with initial design; all the way through to the finished fabric. The mill itself is fully equipped to deliver these requirements with yarn dyeing, warping, weaving and finishing also undertaken onsite in Sudbury, Suffolk.

A little about the day-to-day
  • You will manage multiple projects simultaneously and at different stages; from research, visits, recommendation, planning, design development, colouring and customer service, right through to manufacturing and delivery.
  • To deliver this to an exceptional standard you will need to be highly organised, detail orientated, methodical in your approach and able to explain complex and technical topics simply. 
  • You are confident on the phone, in person and creating written reports and presentations.
  • You approach travel with enthusiasm and have a full UK driving licence to get to our more rural customers
  • As with many roles we have systems for forecasting, budgeting, sales planning and strategy execution which you will be actively involved in.
  • The team enjoy sharing progress, problem-solving, working on improvement ideas and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Previous Experience
  • You may have prior experience of the textiles industry, particularly manufacturing, or have a strong curiosity for how things are made.
  • You may have commercial, sales or project management experience with a passion for design and creativity
  • You may have studied textile or weave design and are looking start your career.
